Take a break and visit Space Center Houston. Experience the past, present, and get a glimpse of our future when you take part in Space Center Houston’s spring break experiences and Women’s History Month events.
Ever dream about going to space? Hear how artist Tim Gagnon made that a reality through his art on March 5. Gagnon is a space artist designing NASA emblems and insignias for various human spaceflight missions. Following a presentation, patches will be available for purchase and signing in front of Space Traders.
Witness science fiction turn into science fact in the all-new spring exhibit, POPnology, developed by Stage Nine Exhibitions, now through May 1. This immersive exhibit fuses popular culture and technology through interactive displays and some of the most iconic films of their time, including “Alien” and “E.T.” See 3D printing, experience virtual reality technology, and watch a Mars rover simulation.
The center spotlights leading women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics during Women’s History Month. Hear from a leading woman in space, astronaut Dr. Anna Fisher, during our astronaut presentations March 19 and 25. Fisher is an American chemist and former NASA astronaut. Don’t miss our special event, the “Making Space for Women” panel on March 15. The panel will feature leaders at the forefront of human space exploration at NASA Johnson Space Center. Panelists include: Dr. Jennifer Ross-Nazzal, Ginger Kerrick, Estella Gillette, Sharon McDougle, and moderator Dr. Donna Shafer.
