The birds are flocking to League City for their annual spring migration and we are celebrating with a series of fun "bird-themed" events during the month of April.

On Friday, April 8, grab a chair and bring your family to this fun outdoor movie nigh at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside.  Arrive at 5 p.m. to grab a copy of the birding challenge and walk the Feathered Friends Trail. On the trail you'll learn fascinating bird facts from special signage along the way and have an opportunity to earn a Birding Badge. A cornhole tournament begins at 7 p.m., and at 8 p.m. there will be an outdoor showing of the movie “Rio.” Food trucks will be on site from 6 to 9 p.m. for those who want a meal while they enjoy the film, plus free popcorn and lemonade courtesy of the City of League City.
