On Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at approximately 11:48 pm, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a weapons disturbance in the 17500 block of Holroyd in northeast Harris County. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim, 21-year-old Nelaine Valazco-Castellano unresponsive from apparent stab wounds. Harris County EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Deputies spoke with the homeowners, who are related to the victim, they stated the victim's husband; 27-year-old Leonardo Pimentel-Lopez stabbed the victim and left the residence. Family members did not report a physical disturbance prior to the stabbing, but did report hearing Lopez asking for a charger immediately before the stabbing.
Pimentel-Lopez is a Hispanic male, 5' in height, and weighing 150lbs. He has slicked back hair and a tattoo on at least arm. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with floral designs and camo pants. HCSO Homicide and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. Homicide investigators have now charged Leonardo Pimentel-Lopez with murder in the stabbing death of his wife Nelaine Castellano.
Anyone with information to the whereabouts of Leonardo Pimentel-Lopez are urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 713-274-9100. If seen please do not approach but contact your local authorities at 9-1-1.
