Houston Dynamo FC began preparations for its 16th season in Major League Soccer on March 1 at Houston Sports Park.
This will be the second training camp under head coach Tab Ramos, who was appointed as the Club’s fourth full-time head coach in November 2019. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and related health and safety protocols, the Dynamo will remain in Texas for preseason.

The team returns to Houston Sports Park following a week-long voluntary quarantine that began on Feb. 22 and a return to the MLS PCR testing cadence. MLS announced on Feb. 13 that players could begin their seven-day quarantine period prior to March 1 on a voluntary basis. As a result, players may engage in group training following the seven-day quarantine period provided that each player has conducted medical exams and testing. The Dynamo will host their first intrasquad game on March 13 at Houston Sports Park. Houston will play preseason games against a trio of USL Championship clubs, beginning on March 20 against Austin Bold FC and three days later against FC Tulsa, both preseason games will be held at Houston Sports Park. The Dynamo will host Louisville City FC at 1 p.m. on March 28 at Houston Sports Park and Austin Bold FC on March 31 at 1 p.m. at BBVA Stadium. The Dynamo plan to play a total of seven preseason matches and will announce the three additional fixtures in the coming days.

Houston’s preseason games are not scheduled to be streamed live, but highlights and photos will be shared with media outlets as well as on the Club’s social media platforms. Additionally, training sessions and scrimmages at Houston Sports Park are closed to the public due to safety protocols.
