Sugar Land is bringing back an exciting lineup of Food Truck Events with several series taking place in community parks throughout the year. From Yappy Hours to Bikes and Brews, there’s sure to be an event for anyone and everyone, including everyone’s furry friends.
Kicking off the Parks Event Series is the Yappy Hour event, featuring pet-friendly activities, music and a variety of food and beverages on Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. at Pawm Springs Dog Park, located inside Sugar Land Memorial Park at 15300 University Blvd. Event dates are scheduled for Feb. 10, 17 and 24.
Splash into spring with Party on the Plaza events, which will take place at the plaza adjacent to Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land, 18111 Lexington Blvd. The series will showcase live entertainment, lawn games, a splash pad and food trucks on Thursday evenings in April from 6-8 p.m.
Food Truck Fridays have been a crowd favorite, and this year the city will host two tracks - the DJ Series will take place in June at Sugar Land Memorial Park while the Movie Series will happen at Oyster Creek Park, 4033 Highway 6, under the park’s iconic amphitheatre.
To round out the Parks Event Series, Bike and Brews will be back; it will be held near the city’s popular mountain bike trails at Brazos River Park, 18427 Southwest Freeway, throughout the month of September and serve as a meet and greet for community cycle enthusiasts.
All activities are free and open to the public, with food and beverages available for purchase though onsite vendors. Special thanks to beverage sponsor Saint Arnold Brewing Company. Free public parking will be available at the site of each event.
