The Houston Dash have agreed to a deal with Chevron to become both the team’s Official Energy Partner and Official Community Partner. This historic deal is the first-ever partnership agreement exclusively for the Dash.
"We couldn’t be more excited to have Chevron signing on as the first Dash-exclusive partnership in Club history, especially for such an important community program,” Houston Dash President Jessica O’Neill said. “Providing access to the game of soccer for girls in Houston is one of the most important things we can do as an organization, and we are thrilled to have Chevron assist us in that goal.”
The focal point of the agreement will be a pair of girls’ soccer clinics provided by Chevron that will offer access to the sport for ages 6-12. These clinics will take place at mini pitches built by the Dash and Houston Dynamo FC throughout the city and are aimed at providing a fun introduction to the sport while at the same time helping to develop the participants’ soccer skills.
“We are proud to partner with the Houston Dash to support our community and work together to elevate girls in sports. Through our soccer clinics we hope to inspire the next generation of athletes and leaders,” Chevron Technical Center President Eimear Bonner said.
In addition to sponsoring the clinics, Chevron has agreed to provide tickets to all Dash home games during the 2022 season to the clinic participants and their families.
The Dash kick off their 2022 season with the NWSL Challenge Cup opener on Sunday, March 20 against the Chicago Red Stars at PNC Stadium. Kickoff for that match is set for 6 p.m. CT. Tickets are available on HoustonDash.com. Fans can also sign up for a Dash 365 membership.
