Beloved Korean-influenced coffeeshop Tom N Toms, located in Houston's Chinatown, has opened a new Galleria area locale at 5353 West Alabama St. The popular bean roaster's slogan, “Refresh your body and soul,” was borne out from the owner's desire to establish a warm, welcoming environment where friends come together to enjoy a cup of coffee and delicious food. 

Originally established in 2004, Tom N Toms was founded in South Korea as a way to introduce coffee into a culture that was unfamiliar with the trend of coffee at the time. They started a movement into Korea’s first 24-hour coffee service, and from there, introduced the first coffee roastery that provides fresh coffee beans, with the taste and quality unmatched to this day. Since its establishment, Tom N Toms has received national and international recognition for its services and products, and, as a result, has expanded across Korea and globally, resulting in more than 500 locations worldwide. These locations include Singapore, Mongolia, China, Thailand/Myanmar, Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, Qatar, and the United States. TNT’s endless growth into the coffee market has allowed Korea to further develop its coffee culture in unique ways. However, TNT remains at the forefront of Korea’s coffee culture, as it continues to grow today.

In 2010, Tom N Toms opened its first US location, while opening its 200th local location in Korea, and, in 2017, was awarded second place in Customer Satisfaction. Now in 2020, Tom N Toms has introduced its second Houston, Texas location in the heart of Houston’s popular Galleria area.

The Galleria area location, at 5353 West Alabama St., has announced via their socials that the shop will soon feature "all-day brunch on Saturdays and Sundays with scrumptious goodies not found on any other menu." They have also recently announced their intention to offer pop ups by local chefs, along with pop ups affiliated with the owner's restaurant, Dak andamp; Bop. Daily baked goods made in-house and fresh food items made for dine-in and for to-go will be available. 

Additionally, Tom N Toms' Korean inspired bakery program will be operating a ghost kitchen at their location that will feature a to-go food program. In order to make the Galleria location's vision a reality, the Tom N Toms team includes an executive chef, pastry chef, and the owner with the goal to bring some fun and exciting menu items to the upscale Galleria area. 

Having been operating on a "soft opening" since late December, Tom N Toms has announced its intention to celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, February 20 with buy one-get one free specials on all drinks.
