The Houston Ballet has announced the inevitable return of it's largest fundraiser, The Nutcracker Market, to Houston's NRG Center, for its spring edition in April of this year. Yes, you read that right, this year, not next year. With the exception of a lack of "early bird admission", the market is expected to take place as it did in 2019, with a huge variety of vendors showcasing a high quality assortment of gift items, vintage style home goods, decor, Mother's and Father's Day gifts, clothing, jewelry, scents and soaps, and lifestyle essentials. Do you have great unique merchandise and what it takes to sell to thousands of shoppers at Nutcracker Market SPRING over the course of three days? Vendor applications are currently open and can be found here.
You can expect to enjoy much of what you love about the normal fall Nutcracker Market but in the spring! Approximately 160 merchants from across the country will showcase unique seasonal items, including summer apparel and accessories, novelties, gourmet food, home decor items for spring and summer holidays and much more.

The ballet also made known its intentions to host the fall 2021 version of its annual bazaar, fully in-person, November 11-14. The idea, it seems is a complete do-over of the originally planned 40th anniversary Nutcracker Market that was originally planned for the ill-fated 2020 holiday season, a season we're sure most are happy to leave in the past.

With regards to the safety of patrons and vendors alike, the Nutcracker market will follow mandated protocols like face coverings for everyone 2 and over. According to a statement from their website, "The health and safety of our shoppers, volunteers, sponsors, and staff remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation regarding COVID-19, take all precautions as recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and follow the guidelines as provided by our county, city, and state authorities."
