Clutch City Cluckers is Houston's spot for Nashville hot chicken and is about to open a new Galleria area location. The hot chicken truck, owned by Ahmad Kilani, will open its seventh Houston area location at 5550 Val Verde St. the week of February 19-21, with 50% off all food items and a raffle to include a Playstation 5 and a Nintendo Switch. 

Aside from the publication of this website, I personally work as an agent in the music business, representing live music artists worldwide. It is for that business that I find myself in the city of Nashville on a regular basis and, a few years ago, discovered the wonder that is known as Nashville hot chicken, a spicy version of my favorite bird and a dish that absolutely requires the company of an icy beverage. If spice is your thing and chicken your fowl of fancy, you really should try Nashville Hot Chicken at least once.

The Clutch City Cluckers food trucks pay homage to the city where Kilani got his Start, and now calls home, Houston Texas. This city gave his business journey a major boost and he decided it was time to give the city something in return. Hence the creation of Clutch City Cluckers, the best Nashville Hot Chicken in Texas. The “Clutch City” Part of the name is inspired by the nickname given to the Houston Rockets after winning both the 1994 and 1995 NBA championships.

Ahmad came to the US at the beginning of 2015 to pursue his Master’s degree, he was a full-time student and worked full time as well, this experience got him extremely motivated and shaped his vision and career in the food industry. 

The first food truck location he opened with Abu Omar Halal was at the end of 2015 on Westheimer, now he co-owns 6 of the Abu Omar Halal Locations, one of which is the signature brick and mortar retaurant, Abu Omar Halal on Westheimer. 

His passion for Abu Omar Halal won’t stop with the current locations, he is determined to open more locations across all concepts, one of which is the Abu Omar Halal Signature location and soon more locations will open. We're looking forward to stopping by his newest location this February, it's guaranteed to be hot!
