Houston-based Worldwide Oilfield Machine’s Co-Owner and Global CFO Rani Puranik along with Wood McKenzie’s Research Director Benjamin Shattuck and W.M. Dewey’s President Bob McDowell from Houston will speak at the FreightWaves Global Supply Chain Week.

On Friday, February 26, 2021, the virtual event’s focus will be on “Energy, Chemical andamp; Mining” with Puranik as the keynote speaker along with panels including Shattuck, McDowell and other industry executives such as the CTO of Ford Motor Company, a former US Senator, Global Economist at HSBC Bank, and the Head of Strategic Program Management at Intel Corporation.

“Prior to 2020 and now into 2021, we as Americans didn't give much attention to the supply chain industry,” said Puranik. “The impact of the shortages of goods illuminated the reality that global trade affects our everyday life as well as our nation's economy. It's an honor to have three Houstonians leading Friday's discussion on Energy, Chemical and Mining. We plan to unpack issues, data, trends and predictions that, from a Houston perspective, will help supply chain businesses position themselves for future growth.

Puranik’s keynote “The 5 C’s to Legacy” will kick off the focus on energy, chemical and mining, and subsequent speakers will discuss the future and what to expect from the turbulent energy sector along with the demands for new pipelines and drilling equipment.

Modern supply chains across all modes now go beyond borders like never before, and what happens in one vertical can have a ripple effect across multiple supply chains. Global Supply Chain Week is a free eight-day virtual event that will be filled with more than 100 leading experts and industry professionals who will talk about how their supply chains have changed because of COVID and what the future looks like.
