Today, Cotton Holdings, Inc. announces a new corporate partnership with the Houston Astros and the Astros Foundation. The five-year long partnership is in support of the Astros Community Leaders program which provides resources for various community initiatives including Military appreciation, children’s cancer research and community youth baseball and softball programs.
“Cotton Holdings is honored to partner with our hometown Houston Astros and the Astros Foundation to further support the needs of our community,” said Bryan Michalsky, Chief Financial Officer at Cotton Holdings, Inc. “The Astros efforts go well beyond the field and, as a lifelong Astros fan, it’s exciting, yet humbling to now be able to support not only the team, but also the city that is home to both our corporate headquarters and a large portion of our workforce.”
Cotton Holdings has provided local, national, and international comprehensive, commercial disaster recovery and turnkey workforce solutions to clients for the past 25 years. Cotton Holdings and its non-profit partner, the Cotton Foundation, remain focused on supporting ongoing needs in Houston area neighborhoods. The internationally operating company that was founded and based in Houston will continue to uphold the Astros Foundation initiatives including Military support and battles with homelessness, domestic violence, underserved youth, and childhood cancer in Houston.
“The Astros Foundation is proud to have Cotton Holdings join us as a Community Leader,” said Paula Harris, Senior Vice President, Community Affairs andamp; Executive Director of the Astros Foundation. “The causes they are passionate about align so greatly with the key pillars of the Astros Foundation. We are excited to partner with them and we look forward to continuing our mission to make a positive impact on Houston and the surrounding communities.”
As part of this partnership, the Cotton corporate logo will be displayed on the outfield wall down the third base line, joining the names of other Astros Foundation partners proudly displayed above the outfield wall at Minute Maid Park. Cotton Holdings joins the names of other notable Astros Foundation partners, such as Halliburton, ConocoPhillips, Lexus, and LyondellBasell, above the highly coveted outfield wall of Minute Maid Park.
The Astros Community Leaders program was developed by Owner and Chairman Jim Crane as an opportunity to provide the next generation of young athletes with the environment and resources they need to support physical and mental development on and off the field. With Cotton Holdings’ participation, the Astros Foundation will support Houston youth with baseball and softball leagues throughout the city with all necessary equipment, uniforms, and coaching at no cost to participating families.
