“Prior to 2020 and now into 2021, we as Americans didnand#39;t give much attention to the supply chain industry,” said Puranik. “The impact of the shortages of goods illuminated the reality that global trade affects our everyday life as well as our nationand#39;s economy. Itand#39;s an honor to have three Houstonians leading Fridayand#39;s discussion on Energy, Chemical and Mining. We plan to unpack issues, data, trends and predictions that, from a Houston perspective, will help supply chain businesses position themselves for future growth.”
Puranik’s keynote “The 5 C’s to Legacy” will kick off the focus on energy, chemical and mining, and subsequent speakers will discuss the future and what to expect from the turbulent energy sector along with the demands for new pipelines and drilling equipment.
Modern supply chains across all modes now go beyond borders like never before, and what happens in one vertical can have a ripple effect across multiple supply chains. Global Supply Chain Week is a free eight-day virtual event that will be filled with more than 100 leading experts and industry professionals who will talk about how their supply chains have changed because of COVID and what the future looks like.
