The Houston Zoo is kicking off its 100-year anniversary with a birthday party extravaganza on Saturday, April 30. Upon arrival to the day-long celebration, you will be greeted by animal ambassadors and learn how they can help save their wild counterparts, along with other surprises in the McGovern Front Plaza.
Event highlights include:
- Guest speakers at the Reflection Pool, followed by family-friendly entertainment
- Centennial-themed keeper chats every half hour at different animal habitats, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
- Zoo history trivia
- An opportunity to build out your own birdhouse
- Live ice carving
